Movie Narrative: Axe to Grind (2015)

             The synopsis follows.  Axe to Grind (2015) is a horror movie, out of the City of Los Angeles, California U.S.A.  At Linda Vista Hospital, the filming of a low budget movie is set to begin.  An actress named Debbie experienced, as a teenager, a horror movie style murder of her parents and teenage boyfriend.  Several decades later, Debbie is an old horror movie actress.  Obviously, Debbie is long past her glory days.  Additionally, she is aware that the filming of a low budget movie, is going to occur.  Furthermore, she attempts to re-kindle a romantic relationship with the producer of the movie, Peter Burgess.  Debbie does this, in order, to get a part in the movie.  In the present day; Debbie walks, left to right, outside the house of Peter Burgess.  Debbie practices, what she is going to say.  It is revealed that, she hears voices, and, at this moment she continues to hear voices.  Unexpectedly, Peter Burgess arrives.  Peter asks, for the purpose of the visit.  Peter doesn’t know what Debbie wants.  Debbie continues talking, and, she enters the house.  Surprisingly, Peter’s new woman appears.  The new woman kisses Peter, and, she leaves the room.  Debbie becomes bitter.  Debbie becomes angry, and, she hears voices.  Debbie demands a part, in the movie.  At the filming location, the first actress arrives.  The actress is named Delilah, and, her nickname is; “The Horror Film Barbie.”  Delilah is known for blood-curdling screams.  The second actress to arrive is Nikki.  Nikki is nicknamed, “The Bodacious Brit.”  Nikki is known for gratuitous nudity.  The third actress to arrive is Cheryl.  Cheryl is nicknamed, “Mistress Mayhem.”  Cheryl is known for whips and chains, because, they excite her.  The hospital is an abandoned hospital.  The actresses find each other, inside.  They also talk, amongst themselves.  Unexpectedly, Debbie arrives at the hospital.  Debbie is nicknamed, “The Meryl Streep of Horror Movies.”  Debbie is known for stealing a scene.  Furthermore, the other actresses know that Debbie is, past her glory days.  The women bicker, amongst themselves.  They argue the way actresses and models argue.  Ultimately, Debbie’s plans and motives, are revealed.  Director, Matt Zettell, doesn’t do a good job.  Unfortunately, there is a lot that falls short.  This movie has a couple of trajectories, on which the story, could have traveled on.  However, none of the trajectories end up working.  Obviously, one can say that, the trajectories were never developed.  The writers do an equally bad job.  Returning to the trajectories notion; the serial killer, axe murderer trajectory was not developed.  The Debbie character, as a psychotic axe murderer, is placed in a good place.  On which, a horror movie, is built on top of.  Unfortunately, nothing really happens, or moves, from this point.  The officially recognized stars do a good job performing their roles.  Overall, this movie earns the rating of 4 out of 10. 
            The movie narrative of, Axe to Grind (2015), is as follows.  The location is Jacksonville, Florida.  It is also the summer, in the year 1983.  In the backyard, Young Debbie pours two glasses of lemonade.  Unexpectedly, Young Debbie hears screams and moans.  Young Debbie enters the house.  Young Debbie finds her mother dead, and, covered in blood.  Young Debbie screams.  Young Debbie finds her father dead, and, covered in blood.  Additionally, Debbie’s father has an arm, cut off.  Young Debbie returns to the backyard.  Young Debbie finds her boyfriend dead, and, covered in blood.  Young Debbie screams in terror.  She falls to the ground, and, several neighbors arrive.  The murder weapon was an axe.  There are opening credits.  In the present day, Young Debbie has grown up.  Furthermore, she is a middle-aged woman, and, she hears voices.  Debbie is an actress, who is past her glory days.  Debbie walks, left to right, outside the house of Peter Burgess.  Debbie practices, what she is going to say.  She continues to hear voices.  Unexpectedly, Peter Burgess arrives.  Peter asks, for the purpose of the visit.  Apparently, Peter and Debbie used to be a couple.  Peter doesn’t know what Debbie wants.  Debbie continues to hear voices.  Debbie continues talking, and, she enters the house.  Apparently, Peter put all of Debbie’s possessions in a box.  Additionally, the box is on the drive way.  Surprisingly, Peter’s new woman appears.  The new woman kisses Peter, and, she leaves the room.  Debbie becomes bitter.  Furthermore, she realizes that Peter is making a new movie.  Peter Burgess is a low-level movie producer.  Debbie looks at the pictures of the potential actresses.  Debbie becomes angry, and, she hears voices.  Debbie also wants a part, in the movie.  The scene changes, and, it is the filming location.  The location is:  Linda Vista Hospital, Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.  The first actress arrives.  The actress is named Delilah, and, her nickname is; from Peter Burgess.  Norman takes the women, to their rooms.  The scene changes, and, Debbie is at Peter’s house.  Debbie argues with Peter.  She argues about her movie career, and, her relationship with Peter.  Additionally, Debbie wants to be a couple, again.  Peter doesn’t want to.  Peter also says that, he is in a new relationship.  Debbie suggests, a final toast.  Unexpectedly, Debbie puts a powder in Peter’s drink.  Peter drinks and finishes his drink.  Peter feels the effects of the powder.  Peter is knocked out, and, Debbie laughs.  The scene changes, and, it is Linda Vista Hospital.  Debbie rants and raves; by herself.  Unexpectedly, Lance arrives at the hospital.  Lance is the cinematographer, for the movie.  Lance was not expecting to see Debbie.  Debbie says that, she is replacing Tawny.  Nikki passes time by herself.  Nikki starts to hear footsteps and noises.  Unexpectedly, Eddie Wilcox appears, and, he hugs Nikki.  Eddie is the director of the movie.  Eddie and Nikki kiss.  Eddie tells Nikki that, Peter Burgess will not be arriving this day.  Eddie and Nikki talk, in a sexual manner.  They also kiss a lot.  Eddie leaves the room.  In secret, Norman watches Delilah changing clothes.  Delilah crashes into Lance.  Lance tells Delilah that, Peter Burgess will arrive the next day.  Norman listens in secret.  Delilah leaves Peter a voice message.  Norman watches Delilah through a security video camera.  Delilah covers up, the video camera.  Norman watches Nikki, through a security video camera.  Debbie is in the same room.  Debbie sexually hugs Nikki.  The scene changes, and, Debbie is at Peter’s house.  Peter is tied to a chair.  A dead woman is wrapped in plastic.  Debbie pulls the dead woman, out of the room.  Debbie hears voices.  Additionally, she holds an axe, and, she sits on Peter’s lap.  Debbie wakes up Peter.  Debbie threatens Peter with an axe.  Additionally, Debbie wants answers to the questions.  The scene changes, and, it is Linda Vista Hospital.  The cast and crew throw a party.  Everyone drinks heavily and celebrates.  They start to talk about, the next day’s filming schedule.  Eddie draws on Nikki’s body, using lipstick.  Eddie was attempting to describe the filming schedule.  The party continues.  The movie is called, The Bayou Butcher.  Out of nowhere, Norman looks at an axe.  The scene changes, and, Debbie threatens Peter with an axe.  Debbie is angry, because, she was not included in the movie.  The argument intensifies, and, Debbie starts to shout.  Debbie holds the axe to Peter’s throat.  The scene changes, and, it is Linda Vista Hospital.  Debbie does her hair and make-up.  Debbie starts to talk to Nikki.  Debbie says that, she spoke to Peter Burgess, during the party.  Furthermore, that Peter cut Nikki out of the movie.  Debbie and Nikki start to fight each other.  The fight becomes violent.  Debbie kills Nikki.  Debbie hits an axe, into, Nikki’s chest.  The axe does remain stuck.  Debbie says that, Peter loves her.  Norman watches the murder, through a security video camera.  Surprisingly, through the security video camera, Debbie orders Norman to clean it up.  Norman cleans with the mop.  Debbie, Cheryl and Delilah report to Eddie and Lance.  Unexpectedly, Debbie has blood on her face; from the murder.  Norman passes out donuts.  Norman and Debbie talk about movies.  Eddie instructs the actresses.  Everyone forgets about Nikki.  Debbie also successfully distracts the group.  Norman watches everything, through the security video cameras.  Eddie talks about the filming schedule.  Eddie describes the scene, which they are filming.  Delilah gives Eddie a hard time.  Cheryl tells Debbie that, they have been in a movie together.  Furthermore, that she has been a party guest, at her house.  Eddie continues to explain the scene.  Eddie starts the filming of the scene.  The actresses perform the scene.  Eddie and Lance move the group to the cafeteria; for the next scene.  Everyone leaves, except for Debbie and Eddie.  Debbie asks for a moment alone and in private.  Debbie entices Eddie by saying that, Peter and she have found an investor for the next movie.  The investor wants to contribute, $200,000 dollars.  In the morgue, Eddie and Debbie meet up.  Debbie rants and raves.  Debbie becomes angry, and, she shouts at Eddie.  Eddie attempts to end the argument.  Unexpectedly, Debbie attacks Eddie with an axe.  Debbie hacks Eddie to death, with an axe.  Norman was hiding in the room.  Debbie takes Norman out of hiding, so that, he can clean up the mess.  From this point forward; the series of events, take the viewer, to the end.  Debbie continues to kill the cast and crew of the movie.  Debbie has trouble killing Cheryl.  Furthermore, Norman steps in to rescue Debbie, from Cheryl.  Peter Burgess arrives, and, he kills someone.  The relationship problems, of Debbie and Peter, remain unresolved.  You have to watch, to know, Debbie’s true story.  Finally; you have to watch, in order to know, how this movie ends.
