Movie Narrative: Winter’s Bone (2010)

             Winter’s Bone (2010) is rated R.  Furthermore, it is 1 hour and 40 minutes long.  This movie is categorized under the drama genre.  The official release date is July 16th, 2010.  The release date is for the Country of the United States of America.  The director was Debra Granik.  The writers were Debra Granik, Anne Rosellini and Daniel Woodrell.  The officially recognized stars were Jennifer Lawrence, John Hawkes and Garret Dillahunt.  The list of the 15 most important cast members is as follows:

             The synopsis follows.  Winter’s Bone (2010) is a fascinating drama story out of the State of Missouri, U.S.A.  This is the story of a teenage girl.  Additionally, this teenage girl is still in high school.  Furthermore, she has to carry the burden of raising a younger brother, and, a younger sister.  On top of all of that, her mother is sick, and, she has stopped talking.  One day and unexpectedly, the police knock on her door.  The police officer informs her that, her father put their house down for the bail.  Technically, the house is part of the bail, which he used to be released from jail.  If her father doesn’t show up for court, then, they are going to lose their house.  Surprisingly, Ree sets out to find her father.  Initially, Ree learns that, her father cooks illegal drugs.  Her father’s name, is Jessup.  Additionally, Jessup isn’t popular with the other criminals, in the area.  They believe that, Jessup is a police informant.  Ree goes to Teardrop, in order, to look for her father.  Regrettably, Teardrop hasn’t seen Jessup.  Coincidentally, he is also Jessup’s brother.  Ree continues on her desperate search, to find her father.  Ultimately, she discovers that, her father is dead.  Furthermore, she discovers the reason, why, he is dead.  Director Debra Granik does an exceptional job.  To start, the cinematography is superb, and, the images of the forest and roads are unequaled.  The writers do an equally good job.  The interaction between the characters is believable, and, well written.  Additionally, the characters speak the way an uneducated person would speak, and, all of them feel authentic.  Furthermore, Teardrop is extremely believable, as the brother of Ree’s father.  The officially recognized stars contribute tremendously.  They would be missed, if they were not chosen.  Special recognition is merited to John Hawkes.  He truly does bring, his character to life.  Overall, this movie earns the rating of 8 out of 10.  If you have the money, it definitely goes in the movie collection. 
            The movie narrative of, Winter’s Bone (2010), is as follows.  This is the story of a teenage girl.  Additionally, this teenage girl is still in high school.  Furthermore, she has to carry the burden of raising a younger brother, and, a younger sister.  On top of all of that, her mother is sick, and, she has stopped talking.  The poor family lives in an old house that, is like a farm.  Oddly enough, the house is on a large piece of land, and, it combines with the houses of the neighbors.  The name of the teenage girl, is Ree.  Furthermore, the times are very bad and hard.  Ree doesn’t have money; to make things worse.  She also hasn’t seen her father in a long time; to make things more interesting.  One day and unexpectedly, the police knock on her door.  The police officer informs her that, her father put their house down for the bail.  Technically, the house is part of the bail, which he used to be released from jail.  If her father doesn’t show up for court, then, they are going to lose their house.  Surprisingly, Ree sets out to find her father.  Initially, Ree learns that, her father cooks illegal drugs.  Her father’s name, is Jessup.  Additionally, Jessup isn’t popular with the other criminals, in the area.  They believe that, Jessup is a police informant.  Ree goes to Teardrop, in order, to look for her father.  Regrettably, Teardrop hasn’t seen Jessup.  Coincidentally, he is also Jessup’s brother.  Ree believes that, a man named Little Arthur, would know where her father is.  Regrettably, Little Arthur hasn’t seen Ree’s father in a long time.  Ree is told that, she should go talk to a man called, Thump.  Ree doesn’t talk to Thump, but, she is able to talk to a woman instead.  Coincidentally, Ree’s neighbor is also her father’s cousin.  He finds out that, Ree has been asking people about her father’s whereabouts.  Surprisingly, Ree’s neighbor takes her, to where her father cooks drugs in an illegal laboratory.  He tells Ree that, the laboratory caught on fire, and regrettably, her father died in the fire.  Ree doesn’t believe him, or, the story.  Ree decides to travel, in order, to see her father’s ex-girlfriend.  Jessup’s ex-girlfriend tells Ree that, she has seen her father.  However, she doesn’t know about his whereabouts.  She does tell Ree, the story, of the last time they saw each other.  Unexpectedly, Ree returns to Thump’s house.  The woman she met, and along with her sister, brutally beat up Ree.  After the beating, she is severely beaten, and, is held captive.  As a captive prisoner, Ree gets to meet Thump.  Surprisingly, Teardrop goes to rescue her, to be able, to take her home.  Teardrop tells Ree that, her father was a police informant.  He also tells her that, he was killed by the criminals he associated with, when they discovered that he was a police informant.  Unexpectedly and in the evening, the woman who beat up Ree, knocks on Ree’s door.  The woman tells Ree that, her father is dead.  Furthermore, that she will take her, to where his body is located.  Ree agrees to go, and, she is taken to where the body of her father is located.  From this point forward; you have to watch, in order to know, how this movie ends.
