Movie Narrative: Warrior (2011)



The captivation of moving pictures is a source of tremendous inspiration.  For this reason and many more, RB28’s Movie Narratives, continues showing its love for movies with another movie narrative.  This week, Warrior (2011), will be converted into a narrative and subsequently highlighted.  It is implied that the blog reader reads the movie narrative, and then, he or she watches the movie.  The effort is to give the blog reader, an enhanced experience.  RB28’s Movie Narratives, ends this movie narrative of Warrior (2011), with some Hollywood facts.  
              Warrior (2011) is rated PG-13.  Furthermore, it is 2 hours and 20 minutes long.  This movie is categorized under the action, drama and sport genre.  The official release date is September 9th, 2011.  The release date is for the Country of the United States of America.  The director was Gavin O’Connor.  The writers were Gavin O’Connor, Anthony Tambakis and Cliff Dorfman.  The officially recognized stars were Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte and Joel Edgerton.  The list of the 15 most important cast members is as follows:

             The synopsis follows.  Warrior (2011) is a sport drama movie, out of the State of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.  In the City of Pittsburgh; Paddy Conlon leaves religious services, and, he drives.  During the drive, Paddy listens to an audio book.  In front of Paddy’s house, Tommy sits and waits.  Paddy is surprised that, Tommy is there.  Tommy attempts to give Paddy, a bottle of liquor as a gift.  Paddy rejects the gift, because, he stopped drinking alcohol.  Inside the house, Paddy makes coffee.  Tommy looks around the house.  Obviously, Tommy is Paddy’s son.  Tommy looks at the family photographs.  Paddy shares that, he is finished with women.  Tommy insists on drinking, with his father.  Paddy says that, he is close to 1,000 days, of being sober.  Tommy finds a photograph of his brother, Brendan.  Paddy tells Tommy about Brendan.  Brendan teaches high school in Philadelphia.  Furthermore, he married Tess; from the neighborhood.  Additionally, Brendan has two daughters.  Tommy asks Paddy, if, he is going to ask about his mother.  Obviously, Tommy’s mother is Paddy’s ex-wife.  Paddy tells Tommy that, he knows about his mother.  Furthermore, he once paid a man to find, the location of where Tommy was living.  Paddy also knows that Tommy was in the U.S. Marine Corps, at the time, his mother died.  Paddy apologizes to Tommy.  At the boxing gym, the owner, Colt Boyd is present.  Tommy hits the bags, by himself.  Unexpectedly, Colt needs a sparing partner for one of his MMA fighters.  Surprisingly, Tommy volunteers to spare with the MMA fighter.  Colt rejects the idea.  However, Tommy continues to insist.  Grudgingly, Colt lets Tommy spare with the MMA fighter.  Tommy fights hard and wins.  In the City of Philadelphia and at a bank, Brendan talks to a loan specialist.  Unfortunately, Brendan owes money on his home mortgage.  Apparently, one of Brendan’s daughters had medical problems.  Brendan has already taken money out of the mortgage, in order, to pay the medical bills.  The bank officially says that, Brendan has 90 days to pay.  The bank collects the house, if, he doesn’t pay the owed money.  Brendan doesn’t have any options.  Brendan arrives at a strip club.  The strip club holds an MMA fight night.  The fight night occurs on the parking lot, of the strip club.  Apparently, Brendan Conlon is an MMA fighter.  Brendan Conlon fights a man named Moore; for payment or money.  Brendan takes a lot of hits to the face, but, he wins the fight.  For these two estranged brothers, all roads lead to the Sparta MMA Tournament.  It is revealed, why, Tommy Conlon uses the name Tommy Riordan.  Ultimately, two estranged brothers arrive at the same destination; fighting for the championship of the Sparta MMA Tournament.  Director, Gavin O’Connor, does a good job.  The MMA fight scenes are very captivating.  The viewer can feel the excitement and action.  Furthermore, the ESPN news reports, add a tremendous amount of excitement and charm.  The writers do an equally good job.  The Paddy Conlon character is a good character.  Furthermore, he brings together two brothers, which are worlds apart.  Unfortunately, several things fall short, and, the overall story is impacted.  The officially recognized stars do a good job performing their roles.  Special recognition is merited to Nick Nolte, for the Paddy Conlon character.  Overall, this movie earns the rating of 6 out of 10.

from the neighborhood.  Additionally, Brendan has two daughters.  Tommy asks Paddy, if, he is going to ask about his mother.  Obviously, Tommy’s mother is Paddy’s ex-wife.  Paddy tells Tommy that, he knows about his mother.  Furthermore, he once paid a man to find, the location of where Tommy was living.  Paddy also knows that Tommy was in the U.S. Marine Corps, at the time, his mother died.  Tommy is bitter, because, he didn’t have money for his mother’s death or funeral.  Paddy apologizes to Tommy.  Tommy falls asleep on a chair.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Philadelphia.  Brendan Conlon passes time with family and friends.  Tess Conlon films the festivities.  The festivities, happen to be a birthday party.  Emily, Brendan’s daughter, opens her gifts.  Time passes, Brendan exercises in the garage.  Tess is in a rush, to get to work.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Pittsburgh.  In Pittsburgh, Tommy visits a boxing gym.  The boxing gym worker watches an ESPN news report.  The news report is about a mixed martial arts tournament called Sparta.  The winner of Sparta, wins $5 million dollars.  Tommy asks about a membership.  Tommy says yes, to the membership.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Philadelphia.  Brendan Conlon teaches high school physics.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Pittsburgh.  At the boxing gym, the owner, Colt Boyd is present.  Tommy hits the bags, by himself.  Unexpectedly, Colt needs a sparing partner for one of his MMA fighters.  Surprisingly, Tommy volunteers to spare with the MMA fighter.  MMA means, mixed martial arts.  Colt rejects the idea.  However, Tommy continues to insist.  Grudgingly, Colt lets Tommy spare with the MMA fighter.  Tommy fights hard, and coincidentally, someone films the fight.  Surprisingly, Tommy wins the fight.  The MMA fighter is knocked out.  Tommy asks Colt for $200 dollars.  Colt doesn’t talk.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Philadelphia.  At a bank, Brendan talks to a loan specialist.  Unfortunately, Brendan owes money on his home mortgage.  Apparently, one of Brendan’s daughters had medical problems.  Brendan has already taken money out of the mortgage, in order, to pay the medical bills.  The bank officially says that, Brendan has 90 days to pay.  The bank collects the house, if, he doesn’t pay.  Brendan doesn’t have any options.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Pittsburgh.  At his house, Paddy Conlon watches old videos of Tommy.  Tommy was a very good high school wrestler.  Unexpectedly, Colt Boyd arrives looking for Tommy Reid (Riordan).  Apparently, Tommy Conlon uses the name Tommy Reid (Riordan).  Colt is interested in having Tommy, as one of his fighters.  Paddy doesn’t know what is going on.  However, he tells Colt to talk to Tommy, himself.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Philadelphia.  Brendan arrives at a strip club.  The strip club holds an MMA fight night.  The fight night occurs on the parking lot, of the strip club.  Apparently, Brendan Conlon is an MMA fighter.  Brendan Conlon fights a man named Moore; as a nightclub bouncer.  Tess isn’t happy with the situation.  Brendan confesses that, it is for the money.  Additionally, Brendan doesn’t have intentions, of losing the house.  Tess continues to be unhappy.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Pittsburgh.  Paddy Conlon eats at a restaurant.  Tommy arrives, and, he joins his father.  Tommy talks to his father about the Sparta MMA Tournament.  Additionally, Tommy wants to participate in the tournament.  Tommy asks Paddy to be his trainer.  The same way Paddy trained him, in high school.  Paddy has four conditions.  Tommy cannot quit every five minutes; one.  Tommy has to stop using pills; two.  Tommy has to maintain a proper diet; three.  Tommy has to live with him; four.  Tommy agrees to Paddy’s conditions.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Philadelphia.  Brendan arrives at the high school.  Brendan’s students talk about Brendan’s MMA fight.  Brendan starts his class.  His students tell him, that they know, about the MMA fight.  Unexpectedly, the principal asks to see Brendan, in his office.  The principal knows about the MMA fight.  The principal isn’t happy, and, he reprimands Brendan.  Furthermore, the principal wants the situation explained.  Brendan confesses that, he is an ex-UFC fighter.  The principal takes Brendan to a meeting, with the superintendent.  At his house, Brendan talks to Tess.  Tess tells Brendan that, he is suspended without pay.  Additionally, Tess spoke to an attorney.  The attorney believes that, Brendan could return to teaching at the high school; the next semester.  Brendan starts to talk to Tess about fighting, in more MMA fights, for the money.  Additionally, Brendan knows of several other fights.  Tess feels frustrated.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Pittsburgh.  Early in the morning, Paddy wakes up Tommy.  Additionally, Paddy wants to know about Tommy’s, high school wrestling career.  Tommy is not happy, and, he reprimands Paddy.  Paddy leaves the bedroom.  The scene changes, and, it is Al Asad Air Base, Ramadi, Iraq.  Corporal Bradford, is told to go somewhere.  Corporal Bradford, reports to the location.  Two other soldiers watch videos, on the internet.  Corporal Bradford stops, in order, to watch the video.  The soldiers watch the video of “Mad Dog” Grimes fighting, Tommy Conlon.  Mad Dog Grimes is, Colt Boyd’s MMA fighter.  Unexpectedly, Corporal Bradford recognizes Tommy Conlon.  Corporal Bradford runs, and, he returns to the barracks.  Corporal Bradford watches a video of Tommy Conlon, during a battle.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Philadelphia.  Brendan arrives at a boxing gym, in order, to talk to a trainer.  The trainer is named Frank Campana.  Frank talks to Brendan, about his family.  Frank apologizes to Brendan, about their past.  Brendan confesses his financial problems.  Brendan asks Frank to train him.  Frank tells Brendan that, he wasn’t a good fighter, when he was young.  Brendan confesses that, he has been suspended from teaching at the high school.  Frank is reluctant, due to the fact that, Tess won’t like the idea of Brendan fighting again.  Brendan says that, Tess isn’t a factor.  Frank says that, he will include Brendan in training sessions.  However, he cannot do more from there.  Brendan begins training.  Surprisingly, Paddy Conlon sits and waits; outside Brendan’s house.  Brendan arrives, and, they start talking.  Brendan is not happy.  Additionally, Brendan reminds Paddy of their agreement.  Paddy calls on the telephone or writes a letter, but he never, visits in person.  Paddy says that, he has 1,000 days of sobriety.  Brendan refuses to talk to Paddy.  Paddy says that, Tommy has returned.  Brendan is interested in knowing more.  Paddy says that, he is training Tommy, at a boxing gym.  Brendan asks, if Tommy wants to see him.  Paddy says, no.  Brendan becomes angry at Paddy.  Brendan is bitter at Paddy, because, he was never trained by his father.  Paddy asks for forgiveness.  Brendan says yes; he will forgive his father.  However, Brendan doesn’t trust Paddy.  Brendan also says that, Tommy can visit if he wants.  Brendan leaves to enter his house.  Paddy sees his granddaughters.  The scene changes, and, it is the City of Pittsburgh.  Tommy continues training MMA.  ESPN reports recent developments, about the Sparta MMA Tournament.  The television news reports that, a Russian fighter named Koba, will fight in the Sparta MMA Tournament.  Surprisingly, Tommy calls a woman in El Paso, Texas.  They talk on the telephone, about, the woman’s children.  Tommy also says that, he hasn’t forgotten his promise to Manny.  Manny is the woman’s wife, and, Tommy’s friend in the U.S. Marine Corps.  Tommy continues to train.  Brendan continues to train.  All roads, for both men, lead to the Sparta MMA Tournament.  The training for both men, becomes more intense.  Koba is the presumed favorite, to win.  Unexpectedly, Frank Campana’s MMA fighter injures his knee.  Brendan asks Frank, if, he can be Frank’s MMA fighter, for Sparta.  Brendan starts to beg.  Grudgingly, Frank accepts Brendan as his MMA fighter, for the Sparta MMA Tournament.  Frank calls Brendan on the telephone.  Officially, Brendan is going to the Sparta MMA Tournament.  Brendan tells Tess, for the first time.  Tess becomes angry at Brendan.  They start to argue with each other.  Brendan tells Tess that, they are losing the house in three weeks.  The location is Atlantic City, New Jersey.  The Sparta MMA Tournament, has arrived.  Surprisingly, during the opening of Sparta, Brendan and Tommy see each other.  However, they don’t speak to each other.  In his hotel room, Paddy settles in.  Unexpectedly, the television news reports a story about Tommy Riordan.  Tommy Riordan is considered to be an unrecognized hero.  Furthermore, the soldier named Corporal Bradford, posts a video on the internet.  The video talks about how Tommy Riordan, saved his life.  Paddy shows Tommy, what is on the television.  Tommy becomes angry, and, he leaves.  From this point forward; the series of events, take the viewer, to the end.  Brendan attempts to talk to Tommy, on a personal level.  However, Tommy refuses to talk to Brendan.  In fact, the two brothers do speak to each other, on an impersonal level.  Tommy hates his brother, because, he didn’t live with their mother.  It is revealed, why, Tommy Conlon uses the name Tommy Riordan.  Surprisingly and unexpectedly, Tommy Conlon is AWOL, from the U.S. Marine Corps.  Tommy and Brendan fight each other, in an MMA fight, for the championship of the Sparta MMA Tournament.  The winner wins $5 million dollars.  You have to watch, to know about, the AWOL situation and problem.  Furthermore, you have to watch, to know, who wins the Sparta Championship and $5 million dollars.  Finally; you have to watch, in order to know, how this movie ends.
