Movie Narrative: The Other Wife (2016)

             The synopsis follows.  The Other Wife (2016) is a thriller movie, out of the suburbs of Los Angeles.  The location is the suburbs, outside the City of Los Angeles, California U.S.A.  Kate Jennings drives, and, she arrives at her house.  Kate prepares to shower.  Unexpectedly, Kate hears crashing noises.  Kate’s mobile telephone distracts her, for a second.  Kate’s husband sent her a text message.  The text message says that, he will be home later than expected.  Kate starts to walk around the house.  Unexpectedly, an unknown man attempts to open something.  The man stops, and, he looks at Kate.  Kate runs, and, the man chases.  Kate locks herself in the bathroom.  Kate calls the police for help.  The unknown man calls Kate, Deborah.  The man attempts to open the door, and, he says Deborah several times.  The man also says Deb; for short.  Billy Jennings arrives at the house.  At the same time, the police are arriving.  The police apprehend Billy.  Kate is told that, the suspect has been apprehended, through the telephone.  Kate tells the police that, Billy is her husband.  A police detective talks to Kate and Billy.  The unknown man, was attempting to open, Billy’s safe.  The detective says that, he will call when, he has something.  Unexpectedly, the unknown man calls Billy; on Billy’s mobile telephone.  The unknown man is named, Ed Warwick.  Warwick wants to know, where his money is.  Billy replies, in the safe.  Surprisingly, Billy changes his answer.  Billy says that, the money is tied up and invested.  Warwick also says that, Billy works for him; now.  Billy refuses to work for Warwick.  Warwick hangs up the telephone.  Time passes, and, Kate arrives at her house.  Unexpectedly, Kate discovers Billy hanging from a rope.  Billy is dead, and, it appears to be suicide.  The police arrive, and, they take away Billy’s body.  Kate reads Billy’s suicide note.  The note told Kate to find happiness, in new beginnings.  Time passes, and, Kate discovers that she has a lot of credit card debt.  Kate calls the credit card company, on the telephone.  The credit card company confirms that, Kate owes $29,286 USD.  Kate starts to cry, and, she looks through other paperwork.  Kate finds a statement, which shows, more debt.  Unexpectedly, Billy’s mobile telephone starts to ring.  Kate reads the text message, from a woman named Deb.  Kate Jennings is able to find Deb’s house, and, she is able to enter the house.  Inside the house and while talking, Deb reveals that, she is Billy’s wife.  They tell each other the years, in which they have been married, to Billy.  Deb says 2 years, whilst, Kate says 10 years.  Kate Jennings turns to Craig Addison for help.  Unfortunately; Addison reveals that, he is working with Warwick, in order, to collect the owed money.  Addison reveals this fact to Kate and Deb, in person.  Furthermore, Kate is forced to become a partner in an insurance scam, with Addison.  The illegal activities happen at Billy’s medical office.  Unfortunately, Kate and Deb still owe Warwick money.  Director, Nick Lyon, does a good job.  The story is coherently communicated.  There are several captivating aerial scenes, of the greater Los Angeles area.  Additionally, the house and the cars go with the story.  Mr. Lyon does a good job showing the lifestyle of the suburbs, of the Los Angeles area.  The writers do an equally good job.  Kate Jennings is successfully communicated, as a suburban house wife.  Furthermore, this adds the right amount of personality, to the movie; overall.  Unfortunately, several things fall short.  To start, this movie doesn’t have spectacular dialogue.  The officially recognized stars do a good job performing their roles.  Overall, The Other Wife (2016) earns the rating of 4 out of 10.

for the night.  Unexpectedly, the unknown man calls Billy, on Billy’s mobile telephone.  The unknown man is named, Ed Warwick.  Warwick wants to know, where his money is.  Billy replies, in the safe.  Surprisingly, Billy changes his answer.  Billy says that, the money is tied up and invested.  It was an opportunity, he couldn’t pass up.  Billy wants more time.  Warwick says, no.  Warwick also says that, Billy works for him; now.  Billy refuses to work for Warwick.  Warwick hangs up the telephone.  Time passes, and, Kate visits a medical clinic.  At the clinic, Kate sees a fertility specialist.  Kate exhibits good progress, towards, becoming pregnant.  Kate attempts to pay using a credit card.  Surprisingly, the credit card is declined.  Kate uses a second credit card, to pay.  At the house, Billy writes a note.  Kate calls Billy, and, Billy ignores Kate’s telephone call.  Kate arrives at her house.  Unexpectedly, Kate discovers Billy hanging from a rope.  Billy is dead, and, it appears to be suicide.  Kate becomes hysterical.  The police arrive, and, they take away Billy’s body.  Kate reads Billy’s suicide note.  The note told Kate to find happiness, in new beginnings.  The same police detective starts to talk, to Kate.  The detective asks Kate questions.  Specifically, the detective wants to know, if they owe someone money.  Kate’s mother arrives, and, she ends the conversation.  The police leave.  Kate and her mother, pass time talking.  Time passes, and, Kate reads the mail.  Unexpectedly, Kate discovers that, she has a lot of credit card debt.  Kate calls the credit card company, on the telephone.  The credit card company confirms that, Kate owes $29,286 USD.  Kate starts to cry, and, she looks through other paperwork.  Kate finds a statement, which shows, more debt.  Unexpectedly, Billy’s mobile telephone starts to ring.  Kate reads the text message, from a woman named Deb.  Kate becomes hysterical.  One day, a man named Craig Addison arrives to talk to Kate.  Addison is an investment broker.  Addison asks, if Billy left something for him.  Kate doesn’t know anything.  Addison leaves his business card, and, he asks Kate to call; if she needs something.  Both Kate and Addison leave the house.  Addison remains suspicious of Kate.  Kate talks to a woman, about her finances.  The woman tells Kate that, she is going to do her a big favor.  The woman is going to pretend that, Kate never visited her office.  Apparently, Billy accumulated a lot of debt.  Furthermore, Billy hasn’t paid taxes, in at least, 5 years.  The woman also believes that, Billy was involved in illegal activities.  Kate is surprised by everything.  The woman decides to help Kate, one more time.  The woman says that, Billy puts money into a woman’s bank account.  The woman writes down the name, and, contact information.  The woman’s name is Deborah Stanton, or Deb, for short.  Billy used to be a doctor.  Kate looks at paperwork, at Billy’s medical office.  Kate travels to Deb’s house.  Kate arrives at Deb’s house.  Surprisingly, Kate sees Deb arguing with a postal worker.  Unexpectedly, Deb approaches Kate.  Deb asks if, she can help her with something.  Kate says that, she knows who she is.  Furthermore, that she knows about her and Billy.  Kate and Deb, enter Deb’s house, to talk about things.  Kate asks Deb, if, Billy has spoken to her; about her.  Deb replies, no.  Deb continues talking.  Deb reveals that, she is married to Billy.  Kate is in shock.  Deb thinks that Kate, is a crazed patient.  Kate replies that, she is Billy’s wife.  Unexpectedly, Kate sees a wedding picture, of Deb and Billy.  Kate asks Deb, several questions.  Deb calls Billy’s mobile telephone.  In turn Kate shows Deb, Billy’s mobile telephone; ringing.  Kate tells Deb that, Billy is dead.  Additionally, that the death was suicide, and, that Billy hung himself.  Deb says that, she has been married to Billy for 2 years.  Kate says that, she has been married to Billy for 10 years.  Deb is pregnant, and, Billy is the father.  Kate decides to leave the house.  Unexpectedly, Warwick enters the house; pointing a gun.  Warwick takes Kate and Deb hostage.  Kate is forced to drive, Warwick’s S.U.V.  In the S.U.V., Warwick tells the wives that, Billy is a heavy gambler.  Furthermore, Billy owes Addison and Warwick, a lot of money.  Addison heard that, Billy hides money at the golf club.  Kate is going to enter the golf club, and, search for the money.  They arrive at the golf club.  Warwick puts Kate’s fingerprints on a gun.  If Kate doesn’t enter the golf club, then, the police will be looking for the woman who killed Deb.  Inside the golf club, Kate attempts to access Billy’s locker.  The golf club says no, and, Kate is denied access to Billy’s locker.  In the S.U.V., Warwick beats up Deb.  Before the beating, Warwick had attempted to make a deal with Deb.  Surprisingly; Kate opens Billy’s locker, and, she finds cash money.  In the parking lot, Kate gives Warwick the cash money.  Unexpectedly, Warwick becomes hysterical.  Warwick says that, the cash money is like ten thousand.  Furthermore, the amount that Billy owes is, half a million dollars.  Kate doesn’t know about the money or owed money.  Warwick tells Kate that, she has 12 hours to find the money.  Deb dies, if, Kate doesn’t pay.  Furthermore, the police cannot help her.  Warwick leaves Kate and Deb in the parking lot, and, he drives away.  Someone drives Kate and Deb, to Deb’s house.  Inside the house, Kate treats Deb’s cuts and bruises.  The cuts and bruises, are on Deb’s face.  They talk about the beating.  Deb wants to escape, and, run away.  Kate wants to pay Warwick.  Deb tells Kate the story, of how she met Billy.  Kate looks at her bank statement, on the internet.  Unfortunately, Kate doesn’t have money, in her checking account.  Deb looks at her checking account.  Unfortunately, Deb doesn’t have money.  On Deb’s computer, Kate finds a document that, belongs to Billy.  The document reveals that Billy, was a heavy gambler.  Kate invites Deb to stay, at her house.  At a library, Warwick kills a woman.  Warwick takes pictures of the dead woman.  Kate and Deb drive to Kate’s house.  They talk about being married, to Billy.  They arrive at Kate’s house.  Unexpectedly, a police detective waits inside the house.  Outside the house, Kate and Deb argue about talking to the police.  Kate’s mother and the police detective, find, Kate and Deb outside the house.  The police detective talks to Kate and Deb.  The police detective reveals that, Billy was involved in criminal activities.  The detective returns to Kate, Billy’s suicide note.  The police detective leaves the house.  In the kitchen, Kate and her mother talk.  Kate reveals to her mother that, Billy married another woman; two years ago.  Kate’s mother doesn’t like Deb.  In the living room, Kate and Deb talk about being married, to Billy.  Unexpectedly, Deb calls Warwick.  Deb called Warwick, in order, to give him a report of recent activities.  The next morning, Kate and Deb talk about the money, which Billy owes.  Obviously, they haven’t found the money.  Kate lets Deb read, Billy’s suicide note.  Deb feels bitter.  Kate tells Deb that, her mother is going to let her borrow money.  The money is for the short term.  Kate has the idea to talk to, Addison.  They travel to see Addison, at a Chinese restaurant.  At the restaurant, Kate and Deb discover that Warwick and Addison, are working together.  Addison tells Kate that, they are partners on an insurance scam.  The illegal activities will happen at, Billy’s medical office.  Unfortunately, they still owe Warwick money.  From this point forward; the series of events, take the viewer, to the end.  Kate starts to work for Addison.  Deb continues to give Warwick, recent activities reports.  Both, Kate and Deb, still owe Warwick money.  Finally; you have to watch, in order to know, how this movie ends.
