Movie Narrative: Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014)


The captivation of moving pictures is a source of tremendous inspiration.  For this reason and many more, RB28’s Movie Narratives, continues showing its love for movies with another movie narrative.  This week, Paranormal Activity:  The Marked Ones (2014), will be converted into a narrative and subsequently highlighted.  It is implied that the blog reader reads the movie narrative, and then, he or she watches the movie.  The effort is to give the blog reader, an enhanced experience.  RB28’s Movie Narratives, ends this movie narrative of Paranormal Activity:  The Marked Ones (2014), with some Hollywood facts. 
            Paranormal Activity:  The Marked Ones (2014) is rated R.  Furthermore, it is 1 hour and 24 minutes long.  This movie is categorized under the horror and thriller genre.  The official release date is January 3rd, 2014.  The release date is for the Country of the United States of America.  Additionally, this movie is chapter five, of a series of movies.  The other chapters are the following feature films:  Paranormal Activity (2007), Paranormal Activity 2 (2010), Paranormal Activity 3 (2011), Paranormal Activity 4 (2012) and Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (2015).  The director was Christopher Landon.  The writers were Christopher Landon and Oren Peli.  The officially recognized stars of Paranormal Activity:  The Marked Ones (2014); were Andrew Jacobs, Jorge Diaz and Gabrielle Walsh.  The list of the 15 most important cast members is as follows:

            The synopsis follows.  Paranormal Activity:  The Marked Ones (2014) is the fifth chapter, of a story about a demon haunting.  In the fifth chapter, the location is Oxnard California, U.S.A.  The date is June 12, 2012.  This day, Jesse Arista is graduating from high school.  Oscar is the class valedictorian, for the Class of 2012.  Jesse’s family and friends are in attendance.  Hector Estrella, Jesse’s best friend, is also in attendance.  After the commencement ceremony, Jesse is greeted by his family and friends.  Everyone is proud of Jesse.  The group leaves the high school walking.  On the sidewalk, Jesse greets Oscar.  Jesse meets Oscar’s family.  A few days later, Jesse buys a video camera.  In his apartment, Jesse continues filming with his new video camera.  Hector, is also there passing time.  They decide to pass time outside the apartment.  Outside, Jesse and Hector do stunts.  Hector slides down the stairs, whilst sitting inside, a laundry basket.  Jesse is amused by everything.  Meanwhile, Hector moans and groans.  Unexpectedly, there is a lot of shouting coming from Ana’s apartment.  Out of nowhere, Oscar from the high school, exits Ana’s apartment.  Jesse attempts to talk to Oscar.  Incidentally, Oscar does say hello, but, he continues walking.  Surprisingly, Ana watches from her door.  Later on and in the evening, Jesse and Hector hear strange noises.  The strange noises continue, and, Hector and Jesse listen at an air vent.  Hector and Jesse decide to send down a video camera; from inside the air vent.  Hector watches live on the television, whilst, Jesse holds the video camera.  Unexpectedly, there is a naked woman.  A naked Ana paints symbols, on the naked woman’s body.  Out of nowhere, Jesse pulls up the video camera.  Jesse and Hector think that, Ana is a witch.  One night, Jesse and Hector film themselves, setting off firecrackers.  The firecracker doesn’t pop, and unexpectedly, Oscar lands next to Hector.  Apparently, Oscar jumped from the second floor.  Oscar lands, and, he runs away.  The police chase after Oscar.  Jesse and Hector stand and watch, a lot of police officers.  The police send Jesse and Hector, into, their apartment.  The police search the apartment building.  A dead body is taken away.  Jesse and Hector think that, it is Ana.  The apartment building, is officially, a murder scene.  Time passes, Jesse searches the internet.  Jesse learns that, Ana was killed by Oscar.  Time passes, Jesse and Hector meet two women.  They decide to pass time, inside Ana’s apartment.  At the end of the night, Jesse leaves and returns to the apartment.  Oddly enough and out of nowhere, Oscar finds Jesse inside Ana’s apartment.  Oscar reveals that, Ana put a demon, inside his body.  This act, is also, the motive for killing Ana.  Oscar tells Jesse that, the demon is inside him too.  Furthermore, that they have the same bite mark.  Oscar runs away, in terror.  Jesse decides to chase after Oscar.  Hector sees Jesse, and, he follows.  On the street, Jesse looks for Oscar.  Unexpectedly, Oscar falls from the sky.  He lands, on top of, a parked car.  Obviously, Oscar is dead, and, Jesse runs away.  The demon inside Jesse continues to grow and becomes, stronger.  Time passes, Jesse re-enters the basement, in Ana’s apartment.  In the basement, the demon attacks Jesse.  The demon inside Jesse, takes over Jesse’s body.  The demon is present one night, Jesse attempts to kill his own grandmother.  The demon Jesse disappears; a few seconds later.  Hector and Marisol leave, to be able to, search for Jesse.  Director, Christopher Landon, does a good job.  This chapter of the Paranormal Activity, series of movies, is an original movie.  Additionally, this feature film has its own unique charm, to it.  Furthermore, the ending is a good touch of craftsmanship.  The ending successfully combines this movie, to the series of movies.  Everything about this movie works.  A good effort is acknowledged.  The writers do an equally good job.  The characters for this chapter, are fresh and original.  In particular, the two friends Jesse and Hector, as the center of the action; is a fresh idea.  The demon continues to be exciting, in relation to, the Paranormal Activity series of movies.  Taken as a whole, Jesse’s demon embodiment, was an entertaining experience.  The officially recognized stars contribute tremendously.  They would be missed, if they were not chosen.  Special recognition is merited to Andrew Jacobs, for the Jesse Arista character.  Overall, Paranormal Activity:  The Marked Ones (2014) earns the rating of 6 out of 10.
            The movie narrative of, Paranormal Activity:  The Marked Ones (2014), is as follows.  This movie is filmed, as if, it was a documentary.  Additionally; the style is hand held video camera, and, first person point of view.  This day, Jesse Arista is graduating from high school.  Oscar is the class valedictorian, for the Class of 2012.  He is also giving, the commencement speech.  Jesse’s family and friends are in attendance.  Hector Estrella, Jesse’s best friend, is also in attendance.  The location is Oxnard, California, U.S.A.  The date is June 12, 2012.  After the commencement ceremony, Jesse is greeted by his family and friends.  Everyone is proud of Jesse.  The group leaves the high school walking.  On the sidewalk, Jesse greets Oscar.  Jesse meets Oscar’s family.  The group returns home, and, they pass time in the Arista apartment.  Jesse talks to Hector about his video camera.  Jesse holds the camera, and, he talks to his sister.  Apparently, Jesse’s mother died.  Jesse’s sister thinks that, their mother would be proud this day.  Surprisingly, the apartment building is holding a party.  Jesse greets and talks to a neighbor, named Marisol.  Marisol is a woman, and, she is around Jesse’s age.  The celebration continues, and, Hector pours Jesse a glass of liquor.  Jesse drinks and dances with his grandmother.  Hector holds the video camera.  The celebration continues.  Jesse and Hector talk about a weird neighbor, Ana.  Jesse holds the camera, and, he shares a story about Ana.  Hector continues to film the celebration.  A few days later, Jesse visits Hector at his job.  Hector holds a sign, for an auto mechanic shop.  Jesse holds the camera.  Jesse shows off his new video camera, to Hector.  Unexpectedly, they start to film street gang members.  The street gang members aggressively approach, Jesse and Hector.  Jesse and Hector run away.  In his apartment, Jesse continues filming with his new video camera.  Hector, is also there passing time.  They decide to pass time outside the apartment.  Outside, Jesse and Hector do stunts.  Hector slides down the stairs, whilst sitting inside, a laundry basket.  Jesse is amused by everything.  Meanwhile, Hector moans and groans.  Unexpectedly, there is a lot of shouting coming from Ana’s apartment.  Out of nowhere, Oscar from the high school, exits Ana’s apartment.  Jesse attempts to talk to Oscar.  Incidentally, Oscar does say hello, but, he continues walking.  Surprisingly, Ana watches from her door.  In the evening, Jesse and Hector pass time with Jesse’s grandmother.  The grandmother is named, Irma.  Surprisingly, Irma and Hector drink a glass of liquor; together.  Jesse holds the video camera.  They continue passing time, and unexpectedly, they hear strange noises.  Irma thinks that, it is Ana; the neighbor.  The strange noises continue, and, Hector and Jesse listen at an air vent.  Hector and Jesse decide to send down a video camera; from inside the air vent.  Hector watches live on the television, and, Jesse holds the video camera.  Unexpectedly, there is a naked woman.  A naked Ana paints symbols on the naked woman.  Surprisingly, Irma enters the bedroom.  Irma thinks that, Jesse and Hector are watching pornographic movies.  She leaves surprised and in shock.  Out of nowhere, Jesse pulls up the video camera.  Jesse and Hector think that, Ana is a witch.  Time passes, Jesse and Hector continue to pass time, playing with the video camera.  In the laundry room, Jesse and Hector talk to Marisol, about Ana.  They share, what they saw.  They also talk about Oscar, visiting Ana.  Time passes, Jesse asks a neighbor to knock on Ana’s door.  The neighbor is a boy.  The boy knocks, and unexpectedly, Ana returns to her apartment.  Hector is holding the video camera.  Ana shouts and chases away, Jesse and Hector.  At night, Jesse and Hector film themselves, setting off firecrackers.  Jesse holds the video camera.  The firecracker doesn’t pop, and unexpectedly, Oscar lands next to Hector.  Apparently, Oscar jumped from the second floor.  Oscar lands, and, he runs away.  The police chase after Oscar.  Jesse and Hector stand and watch, a lot of police officers.  The police send Jesse and Hector, into, their apartment.  The police search the apartment building.  A dead body is taken away.  Jesse and Hector think that, it is Ana.  The apartment building, is officially, a murder scene.  Time passes, Jesse searches the internet.  Jesse learns that Ana was killed, by Oscar.  Marisol and Hector, are also there.  In the evening, Jesse and Hector pass time smoking marijuana.  They continue to talk about, Ana and Oscar.  Out of nowhere, Jesse wants to enter Ana’s apartment.  Jesse holds the video camera, and, they attempt to enter Ana’s apartment.  They are not successful.  However, they decide to continue trying.  They enter through an open window, which is on the back part of the apartment.  Inside Ana’s apartment, they look around and film.  Hector holds the video camera.  They continue to look around, and, they find strange objects.  Jesse is holding the camera, when, they find the site of the murder.  Jesse decides to take a notebook, which he found.  Unexpectedly, Oscar’s brother is inside the apartment.  Surprisingly, Oscar’s brother throws Jesse and Hector, out of the apartment.  The next morning, Hector holds the video camera, and, he wakes up Jesse.  He also draws a penis on his face.  Jesse shares a nightmare, which he had.  Apparently, he was at a farm with a lot of old women.  Surprisingly, they discover a bite mark and blood, on Jesse’s forearm.  Additionally, Jesse’s dog stops trusting Jesse.  They pass time in the kitchen, whilst, Jesse eats cereal.  Jesse’s sister, Evette, arrives in the kitchen.  Evette tells Jesse about the penis, on his face.  Jesse is angry, at the same time, Hector and Evette are amused.  Time passes; Hector, Jesse and Marisol look at the notebook that Jesse found in Ana’s apartment.  Hector holds the video camera.  The notebook is about witchcraft.  They also find a map.  The notebook, also talks about a demon.  In the evening, they continue to pass time together.  They also play with a toy.  The toy has blinking lights, which appear in a sequence.  Unexpectedly, the demon communicates with the group, through the toy.  Jesse asks the demon, if, he is handsome.  The demon says, yes.  They continue asking awkward questions.  Irma arrives in the room.  Surprisingly, Irma turns off the game.  She also reprimands the group.  Time passes, Jesse and Hector continue to pass time filming themselves.  The day becomes the night.  Jesse and Hector are still at the school, playing basketball.  Out of nowhere, they are approached, at the vending machines by two men.  They attempt to steal Jesse’s backpack.  They also start to beat Jesse.  Hector holds the video camera.  Unexpectedly, the demon exhibits super strength, and, the two men are tossed away.  The demon is invisible.  Hector picks up Jesse, and, they run.  The next morning; Jesse, Hector and Marisol watch the video footage.  At night, they attempt to talk to the demon.  They use the toy.  Jesse asks the demon, if, he beat up the men at the school.  The demon says, yes.  Jesse asks the demon, if, he is good.  The demon doesn’t answer.  Hector holds the video camera.  The next morning, Jesse begins to exhibit super powers.  Hector films Jesse, floating in the air.  Hector also attempts to float.  Unfortunately, Hector doesn’t exhibit super powers, for this attempt.  Jesse continues to show off, his super powers.  Surprisingly, Jesse and Hector post the video, on the internet.  They pass time reading the comments.  They decide to leave the apartment.  Hector drives, and, Jesse holds the video camera.  They decide to enter a house party.  Hector holds the video camera.  Hector and Jesse meet two women.  Jesse is able to steal a kiss.  Hector and Jesse drink, and, they pass time at the party.  They return to the apartment building, with the women.  Jesse holds the video camera.  Out of nowhere, Jesse decides to enter Ana’s apartment.  The group decides to use Ana’s apartment, to be able to, pass time together.  Jesse and Hector talk about the plan.  Jesse wants Penelope, for the night.  Jesse takes the video camera, and, Penelope with him.  Jesse and Penelope start to have sexual intercourse.  Out of nowhere, Jesse has to leave for a condom.  Inside Ana’s apartment, Penelope waits for Jesse.  Unexpectedly, there are strange noises.  Penelope finds a door, on the floor.  Penelope opens the door and looks down.  Out of nowhere, a hand grabs Penelope’s head.  Penelope screams in terror.  She is able to escape the hand’s grip, and, she runs away.  Surprisingly, Oscar comes out of the floor.  His eyes have turned black.  Jesse returns, and, he looks for Penelope.  Jesse thinks that, Hector is playing a prank on him.  Out of nowhere, Oscar finds Jesse.  Oscar reveals that, Ana put a demon, inside his body.  This act, is also, the motive for killing Ana.  Oscar tells Jesse that, the demon is inside him too.  Furthermore, that they have the same bite mark.  Surprisingly, Irma enters looking for Jesse.  Oscar runs away, in terror.  Jesse decides to chase after Oscar.  Hector sees Jesse, and, he follows.  On the street, Jesse looks for Oscar.  Hector attempts to talk to Jesse.  Jesse tells Hector that, it is Oscar.  Unexpectedly, Oscar falls from the sky.  He lands, on top of, a parked car.  Obviously, Oscar is dead, and, Jesse runs away.  The next morning; Jesse, Marisol and Hector watch the video footage.  Jesse holds the video camera.  The group decides to enter Ana’s apartment.  They open the door on the floor, and, they enter into the basement.  In the basement, they look around.  Hector holds the video camera.  They find items related to witchcraft.  They also find photographs of Jesse, and, Jesse’s mother.  Photographs of Oscar, are also found.  Unexpectedly, they hear noises and footsteps.  Hector looks and sees an unknown person, leaving the apartment.  Hector thinks that, it was a woman dressed in black.  The group leaves, Ana’s apartment.  In his apartment, Jesse shows his sister and father, the photographs.  Jesse holds the video camera.  Jesse’s father and sister think that, Jesse is feeling paranoid.  At night, Jesse films himself in the bathroom.  Additionally, he pulls out a long hair, from his eye.  The next morning, the group decides to visit Arturo.  Arturo is Oscar’s brother.  Arturo shows the group, Oscar’s bedroom.  Apparently, Oscar kept on his wall, newspaper articles about abducted children.  Arturo reveals that, witches are attempting to build an army.  The witches use first-born boys.  Arturo also reveals that, Oscar was adopted.  Marisol discovers Ali Rey’s name and telephone number.  The group decides to leave.  However, Hector takes Ali Rey’s telephone number, without permission.  From this point forward; the series of events, take the viewer, to the end.  Jesse re-enters the basement, in Ana’s apartment.  In the basement, the demon attacks Jesse.  The demon takes over Jesse’s body.  One night, he attempts to kill his grandmother and disappears.  Hector and Marisol search for Jesse.  They also recruit Arturo to help.  The group travels to a farm, where the witches stay.  Finally; you have to watch, in order to know, how this movie ends.
